I got this for my wife's birthday.Apparently, the directions aren't exactly correct. Ignore what the beeps say and wait till the dip is actually ready.(side note) there are multiple dip trays stored in the machine so make sure you take the extras out before using them. my wife noticed after using it for 2 days that the asetone was not steaming because she had 3 trays stacked and the heating element was not getting the asetone warmed up.Overall it's a little more convenient than having to clip and rub each finger individually.I brought this to remove acrylic off my nails. The first time I used it I thought oh this is great. After that I found that it doesn’t always heat up. The finger Guards get worn and there is no where to purchase replacements. Keep trying to preserve the ones I have because for the price I will not keep repurchasing because I don’t have finger guards. I does remove gel polish and acrylic but you may have to do it at least three times. Still faster than soak acrylic off without steam. This steamer takes my dip powder right off. It is slow because you have to do several cycles, but I feel like my natural nail is healthier after as opposed to soaking them off in actions. It’s much easier on my skin and cuticles too. I would buy this again!I initially purchased one of these in April 2022. It does what it is supposed to do, and I was happy with it...until it stopped working 2 months later. I left a 1 star review.I was then contacted by the seller and offered a replacement. I received the replacement today, and just used it. This product does work, but what's even more impressive is that the seller stood by their product and actually replaced it for me and without a hassle. If you're looking for a way to remove your dip nails, I would recommend this product becasue it does work. Based on the service, I'm guessing I received a bad one, which does happen...but it was awesome of the seller to rectify the situation and I wasn't left with a dud and out 40 bucks. Here's hoping to no issues with the new one. If I do have an issue a few months from now, I will update this review. My review has gone from 1 star to 5. Thank you customer service for fixing the issue. It works very well and cut time for soft gel. It didn't specify in the description as for hard gel. Overall it works for both just longer process for hard gel and acrylic.Didn’t think it’d work so well but it does. Just a tip: Keep your hand in there the entire time and remove some of the nail product, place hand in a second time for a full cycle and you should be able to remove any remaining dip. Nail polish comes off in one cycle!I am so glad I made this purchase. The nail shops have gotten so expensive I decided to start trying to do things myself. This saved so much time and will save a ton of money. The process is literally just like its described. Gently file your nails and stick them in the steamer and the polish comes right off.10 mins per round. Took 4 rounds for total removal of base coat, 3 color coats, and roughed up top coat. Be sure to check the acetone level after a couple rounds. Total time for one finger was 40 minutes. With 10 fingers and some time for scraping, should take about 1.5 hours to remove a full set. That's a lot of time! But I have very thin, week nails, so removal without damage is essential. Much less messy and far easier than wrapping fingers in soaked cotton balls and foil, but not less time consuming.Did a surprisingly good job of containing the acetone smell, even while in use! Be careful not to get acetone on the plastic dome cover because it melts it very quickly. Also don't discard acetone down the sink lest you ruin your PVC pipes. This product has SO many mixed reviews and I was desperately trying to find some sort of gel polish remover to avoid using foil/cotton pads/tape. Despite many reviews saying they don’t work, I found that they DO! They are super functional, the cotton pad inside is soaked with acetone and there is a sticker portion which is very sticky and seals the sides of the foil so that it stays on your nails! The trick is to leave them on for 15 minutes, they’re not a miracle solution so they just need some patience. After about 10-15 minutes the gel was peeling off and I used a scraper tool to fully remove. I recommend these.I really wanted to love this product. I bought it in Decemeber 2020. Now all of a sudden it has stopped functioning and there is no customer support, warranty or amazon number I can contact to get help. Very disappointed in spending 52 dollars on this and it breaks 5.5 months later.Really works to remove gel polish!! I was so surprised, zero damage to nails. Super simple to use, fill the provided cup with 5 to 10 ml of acetone and turn on the machine. Super simple strategy, turns green when ready to start it's magic. Stick your fingers in and when the light goes yellow, you will see the polish is peeling off the nails. Might have to use once or twice to get all the polish off. It's worth it to not have damaged nails. Be aware, try not to stick fingers in straight so you don't touch the liquid, and it's warm in the little machine, but that's what makes the steam. When doing a second round or the next hand, check to make sure there's still enough acetone inside, steaming makes it evaporate. So refill as necessary.Very easy to use and does the trick!I was doubtful when ordering this product that this would work on Shellac Gel Nails. Have only ever removed with acetone, cotton balls & foil which can be a messy and long process when removing it on yourself. This was a very simple process....open the individual package, place the soaked acetone side on the painted nail, peel and stick the sides closed to keep it in place. I thought i would have to wait 30 mins since it is not "soaked" in acetone but 15 mins and the shellac polish came off quite easily.I recieved two 100/180 grit nail files, and two metal cuticle/nail tools with the steamer. However one of my acetone dishes were torn when I received it. Other than that I'm very happy with the product! Took about 8 minutes(one steam cycle) to remove gel polish. It pretty much just slipped off in one piece!! However after using again, I noticed it shrinks up my natural nail, and it gets tight and uncomfortable
